Representation is the original reason Frameworx Construction was founded in 2005 in Saint Paul, MN. Anthony Carter a self taught carpenter entered the construction industry after dissolving a entertainment business. After getting a job as a carpenter and a short stint in the labors union, Anthony noticed the lack of people who looked like him in this industry, let alone in a skilled position.
Lot after lot, building after building Anthony was either the only one or one of few blacks on job sites. For 3 years this went on until 2005 when he launched the company. At the time of launch Frameworx was the only black owned framing company in the entire Midwest. In 2006 Anthony was awarded entrepreneur of the year for the Aurora St. Anthony district for the NDC. In 2017 the company moved to South Florida while still offering some services in the Minnesota.
In 2018 Frameworx expanded again into the lone star state of Texas. In Texas Anthony again was reminded that there are no black framers in the residential markets, but that didn't stop him from going at it. Based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, Frameworx offers full design build services as a general contractor, and framing services as a sub. The future looks bright for Frameworx as they continue to expand and offer services regionally, nationally, and eventually globally.
